Lord Burford, born 24 March 1801, made his first-class debut for Hampshire v MCC on 6 August 1817, aged 16 years and 135 days.
20th century
First first-class cricketers born in the year 1900 or later
RC Blunt (later a Test cricketer) and JR Barron both made their debuts in the match between Canterbury and Otago at Christchurch, beginning on Christmas Day in 1917. Blunt (Canterbury) was born on 3 November 1900, and Barron (Otago) on 4 September 1900.
First first-class cricketer born in the year 1901 or later
JG Navle (another future Test cricketer), born on 7 December 1902, made his debut for Hindus v Europeans at Poona on 9 September 1918, aged 15 years 276 days.
First to make his debut in England born in 1900 or later
W Rucker (born 5 May 1900) and JDE Firth (born 21 February 1900) both made their debuts for Oxford University v Gentlemen of England at Oxford on 12 May 1919.
First in England born in 1901 or later
GTS Stevens (born 7 January 1901) made his debut for Middlesex v Hampshire at Lord’s on 9 June 1919.
21st century
First first-class cricketer born in the year 2000 or later
A Sandhu, born on 11 October 2000, made his first-class debut for Haryana v Services at Mumbai on 6 October 2016, five days before his 16th birthday.
First to make his debut in England born in 2000 or later
Hamidullah Qadri, born 5 December 2000, made his first-class debut on 26 June 2017 for Derbyshire v Glamorgan at Cardiff.
First first-class cricketer born in the year 2001 or later
RVPK Mishra, born 24 April 2001, made his first-class debut on 6 January 2017 for Panadura v Sri Lanka Ports Authority at Panadura.
First to make his debut in England born in 2001 or later
JPA Taylor, born 19 January 2001, made his first-class debut for Derbyshire v West Indians at Derby on 11 August 2017.
