Virtual members meeting on 27 February 2021

Following the success of the initial virtual meeting of members in November 2020, the Association will be holding another meeting via ZOOM on 27 February, starting at 10 am (GMT).

It is envisaged that the meeting will last for a maximum of two hours and will have the following Agenda:

10.00  Introduction from the ACS Chairman
10.10   Talk by Eric Midwinter (Winner of the Brooke-Lambert Trophy 2020)
10.25  ACS Matters (hosted by Peter Griffiths and the Secretary)
10.35   The 250th anniversary of first-class cricket (hosted by John Bryant)
10.45  Recent and Forthcoming Publications (featuring talks by various authors including Jeremy Lonsdale, Mick Pope, Anthony Bradbury and Roy Morgan)
11.30   Short-format cricket (hosted by the Secretary)
11.50   Feedback and comments from the ACS Chairman

Members who wish to attend this meeting via ZOOM are asked to send an email to the Secretary at secretary@acscricket.com by 6 pm (GMT) on 25 February. The Secretary will subsequently send a confirmation note with joining details.

We welcome questions or comments in advance on these specific topics from members, whether or not you are planning to attend the meeting. Please send your questions and/or comments by email, again by 6 pm (GMT) on 25 February, to the Secretary at secretary@acscricket.com. We will do our best to respond at the meeting, but pressure of time may prevent all questions being answered.

Would those attending please note that the use of the Chat function should be confined for sending a relevant message or question to the panel or speakers, and not for messaging other attendees. We would also ask all those attending the meeting to display their names – their real names, please! – onscreen throughout the meeting. Thank you.

Please note that the meeting will be recorded and a copy placed on the Association’s website so those unable to attend can watch and listen to the discussions.
