Edited by Jim Ledbetter, this series on inter-war cricket covered 1926 to 1939* and included information on all first-class cricket played in England in each season, plus details of matches staged elsewhere in the world during the preceding overseas season.
Each book included full scorecards for all of the first-class games, supplemented by detailed footnotes and other statistics using information gleaned from official scorebooks.
The books also provided a mass of hitherto unpublished information and details not found in other standard sources such as Wisden.
There was a broad overview of each season outlining the fortunes of each major side, while the text was supplemented by team photographs and other portraits of leading players.
* The first volume, 1939, was published by Breedon Books, and the next eight, covering 1931 to 1938, by Limlow.
This series is now sold out.
